Senior Business Architect (Digital Transformation & MITA) Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid – onsite required, local candidates only) Interview Mode: Microsoft Teams
Position Overview We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst/Business Architect with extensive experience in digital transformation, business process reengineering (BPR), and Medicaid Information Technology Architecture (MITA) to support enterprise-level initiatives . The ideal candidate will bring proven expertise in analyzing and redesigning business processes, driving innovation, and bridging the gap between business and IT teams to enable large-scale digital change.
This role is onsite/hybrid in Austin, TX (local candidates only).
Key Responsibilities Lead Digital Transformation: Drive enterprise-level initiatives to design and deliver future-state business capabilities, leveraging technology to achieve organizational goals. Business Process Reengineering (BPR): Analyze current-state operations, identify inefficiencies, and design streamlined, future-state processes that improve efficiency, service quality, and cost-effectiveness. Strategic Business Modeling: Develop and maintain business architecture artifacts, including BPMN process models, capability models, value streams, and organizational models. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior leadership, IT teams, and external partners to gather, analyze, and validate complex business requirements. Bridge Business & IT: Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring alignment of solutions with business objectives. Change Management: Support adoption of new workflows and organizational transformation initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
8+ years progressive experience in Business Architect / Business Analyst roles with enterprise-level initiatives.
Proven track record leading or significantly contributing to large-scale digital transformation and BPR projects.
Deep expertise with MITA (including MITA State Self-Assessments). Advanced skills in business modeling methodologies and tools: BPMN, UML, ArchiMate, and enterprise architecture frameworks.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and facilitation skills. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, IT, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience with Health & Human Services (HHS) integrated eligibility systems (Medicaid, SNAP, TANF, CHIP).
Previous government or public sector experience.
Relevant certifications: CBAP, TOGAF, BPMN, Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt. Familiarity with Agile/SAFe methodologies.
Knowledge of eligibility rules for SNAP, Medicaid, TANF.
