#Title: OPI Spanish Bilingual Interpreter USCIS 1099

#Nationality: United States. We are seeking Spanish Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support a new USCIS contract. This role involves real-time telephonic interpretation for immigration cases with strict accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance standards.

Responsibilities • Provide real-time Spanish ↔ English interpretation for USCIS officers, applicants, and stakeholders • Interpret accurately, completely, and impartially in immigration/legal settings • Follow USCIS/DHS confidentiality and security protocols • Handle scheduled and urgent calls • Participate in training and quality reviews

Qualifications • U.S. Citizens only (no other nationalities accepted) • Fluent in Spanish and English (native or near-native) • 2+ years interpreting experience (immigration, legal, or government preferred) • Certification required (court, medical, ATA, or other recognized credential) • Knowledge of interpreter ethics/confidentiality • Professional, impartial, and accurate on calls • Must obtain Tier 2 federal background clearance
