About the Role
We are seeking an outstanding Automation Engineer to join our Manufacturing Systems Engineering Group at 10x Genomics. This key position focuses on developing and integrating automation solutions for the commercialization of consumable products associated with Next Generation Sequencing chemistries.
Key Responsibilities
- →Develop and implement industrial automation solutions for robust manufacturing
- →Work with contract manufacturers on complex automation projects from scope definition to acceptance tests
- →Support existing automation infrastructure with troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- →Analyze performance data and make improvements to systems
- →Write software to control robotic systems and industrial PLCs
- →Provide guidance for data collection activities
- →Develop calibration and maintenance documentation
- →Contribute automation expertise to cross-disciplinary development teams
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience, or M.S./Ph.D. with 5+ years post-graduate industrial experience in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- ✓Experience designing automation solutions for biotech or semiconductor industry
- ✓Experience with PLCs, SCARA, and HMI programming
- ✓Mechanical design experience with Solidworks
- ✓Ability to design and deploy automation solutions in manufacturing
- ✓Strong troubleshooting skills with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and software systems
- ✓Strong organizational skills for managing multidisciplinary projects
- ✓Strong written and oral communication skills
- ✓Ability to perform under pressure and adapt to changes
