We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to lead and grow our new Growth Engineering Team - the people powering our self-serve experiences, experimentation infrastructure, and data-driven feedback loops across 1Password’s B2B product suites. This role sits at the intersection of product delivery, metrics-driven experimentation, and cross-team collaboration, enabling engineers to move fast while maintaining quality and reliability. As Engineering Manager, you’ll be responsible for team health and execution excellence, helping define and deliver against a compelling vision for product-led growth, and working closely with Product, Design, and Data partners to bring impactful capabilities to life. This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US. What we're looking for: - 3+ years of experience managing, leading, and mentoring software engineering teams - Experience leading teams that build customer-facing SaaS products and technical platforms - Strong technical judgment and experience partnering with engineering teams on architecture and system design. - Demonstrated success owning delivery outcomes for complex, cross-functional initiatives. - Track record of building and scaling high-performing, inclusive, and collaborative teams. - Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. PRODUCT DELIVERY & STRATEGY - Partner with Product, Design, and Data to define growth outcomes, prioritize initiatives, and measure success. - Translate product-led growth strategy into clear, actionable engineering plans. - Ensure reliable delivery of experimentation and self-serve initiatives while balancing short-term velocity with long-term strategy. - Align stakeholders around priorities, trade-offs, and measurable impact. TECHNICAL DIRECTION - Partner with senior and staff engineers to evolve experimentation infrastructure (feature flags, instrumentation, analytics integrations). - Maintain a high bar for reliability, performance, security, and data integrity in a security-first enterprise environment. - Ensure growth initiatives integrate cleanly across product surfaces and shared systems. - Identify and mitigate technical risks introduced by rapid experimentation. Why this matters: You’ll play a critical role in shaping how 1Password accelerates product-led growth - influencing how customers discover value, how we measure success, and how engineering teams across the company embed experimentation and self-serve mechanics into the fabric of our product. Bonus points for: - Experience managing teams responsible for experimentation infrastructure or growth systems in B2B SaaS. - Familiarity with building systems that balance rapid iteration with enterprise-grade security and trust. USA-based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $192,000 USD and $278,000 USD, plus immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.
