The Partnership Engineering team owns the engineering surface area required to make external partnerships and integrations successful from early Strategic Partnerships discussions through GA launch. We provide technical validation, build shared integration infrastructure, and enable scalable, repeatable integrations through strong documentation, tooling, and direct partner engagement.
This team sits at the intersection of product, platform, and external partners. We work across new platform systems, Developer Platform capabilities, browser integrations, and SDK surfaces to ensure integrations are secure, extensible, and built to last.
As a Senior Developer on Partnership Engineering, you’ll design and build the integration patterns, components, and tooling that power high-impact external partnerships. You’ll work directly with partners during active integrations, contribute to shared infrastructure, and help turn one-off deals into reusable capabilities.
This is a senior individual contributor role with broad scope. You’ll operate independently, shape technical direction within integrations, and influence platform evolution based on real-world partner needs.
This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.
What we're looking for:
- Strong backend or full-stack engineering experience building APIs, SDKs, platform capabilities, and integrations with AI-native technologies (LLM APIs, agent frameworks, embeddings, or retrieval systems)
- A track record of delivering complex integrations across organizational boundaries
- Comfort engaging directly with external technical stakeholders and representing engineering decisions clearly
- Experience designing secure systems, including authentication, authorization, and policy-driven access models
- Ability to reason about partner architectures and translate them into pragmatic integration designs
- Clear technical writing and documentation skills
- Strong ownership mindset you drive work forward without waiting for perfect clarity
- Sound judgment on when to build reusable infrastructure versus solving a narrow partner need
- Experience building or maintaining developer platforms or SDK ecosystems
- Familiarity with browser integrations or extension architectures
- Experience migrating systems to new platform primitives or security models
- Hands-on experience integrating with external AI companies or AI-native technologies such as LLM APIs, agent frameworks, embeddings, or retrieval systems
What you can expect:
- Lead technical design and implementation for complex external integrations spanning SDKs, service accounts, browser surfaces, new platform systems, and AI-native platforms
- Partner closely with the Strategic Partnerships team to validate feasibility, assess partner architectures, and shape practical integration approaches
- Build and extend platform components required to support in-flight integrations
- Identify common integration patterns and abstract them into reusable infrastructure
- Contribute to the external integrations program, including tracking lifecycle progress from initial discussion through GA
- Produce clear technical artifacts (design docs, sequence diagrams, integration guides) that support both internal alignment and partner execution
- Improve self-service documentation and tooling so integrations become increasingly plug-and-play
- Support partner migrations to new platform capabilities, including new platform systems-based systems with auditing and policy controls
- Use focused POCs to de-risk new integration patterns, including integrations with external AI platforms and model providers, and inform platform investments
