What You'll Do
Client & Authoring Leadership (approximately 70%)
β’ Serve as the primary point of contact for a strategic enterprise customer.
β’ Lead and coordinate a global team of SDS Authoring Specialists and subject matter experts.
β’ Act as a subject matter expert in all aspects of SDS Authoring from a global perspective, with particular focus on EU requirements.
β’ Author, review, and approve complex Safety Data Sheets (SDS) in alignment with global GHS requirements.
β’ Oversee quality, consistency, and on-time delivery of SDS authoring projects.
β’ Provide clear reporting, regulatory insights, and recommendations to support client decision-making and long-term partnership success.
Systems & Process Management (approximately 20%)
β’ Champion effective use of authoring and regulatory management tools, including the Authoring Management Portal (AMP).
β’ Identify opportunities to improve workflows, quality controls, and reporting processes.
β’ Ensure regulatory updates and classification changes are reflected accurately and efficiently in client documentation.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement (approximately 10%)
β’ Partner with internal technical, regulatory, and product teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
β’ Contribute to operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
β’ Mentor team members and share best practices to strengthen global consistency and compliance.
What Makes You a Great Fit
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Environmental Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field.
β’ Extensive experience in Global EHS and Product Stewardship, with deep hands-on SDS Authoring experience.
β’ Strong working knowledge of the Globally Harmonized System (GHS), including practical application across multiple jurisdictions.
β’ Demonstrated expertise in EU regulatory requirements (including REACH and CLP) and experience authoring SDSs for EU markets.
β’ Experience supporting both petroleum substances and formulated products.
β’ Practical experience classifying mixtures and substances, interpreting toxicological and ecotoxicological data, and applying hazard communication requirements.
β’ Proven experience leading projects or client-facing initiatives across global or cross-functional teams.
β’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
β’ Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to coordinate contributors and priorities across regions and time zones.
