About the Role
We are seeking an Import Export Specialist to manage and maintain localized operational import and export procedures. This role involves ensuring compliance with EU Customs Law and serving as the primary point of contact with customs and government agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- →Establish and maintain localized operational import and export procedures
- →Interface with local site management and other internal/external partners to ensure all import/export transactions comply with EU Customs Law
- →Act as primary point of contact with customs and government agencies for audits and inspections
- →Provide support for external reviews and investigations to minimize adverse impacts
- →Manage daily import/export activities and resolve issues causing border delays
- →Oversee financial and operational trade metrics and develop solutions for issues or opportunities
- →Conduct training and knowledge sharing to improve business knowledge and operational performance
- →Engage with customs brokers and manage relationship performance
- →Assess and initiate import/export projects focusing on efficiencies and cost savings
- →Monitor trade compliance regulatory changes and alert internal parties to potential impacts
- →Support the site when licenses/permits/authorizations are required for import/export activities
Requirements
- ✓Strong understanding of EU Customs Law and import/export regulations
- ✓Experience in managing customs and government agency interactions
- ✓Ability to resolve operational issues and minimize border delays
- ✓Knowledge of trade compliance and regulatory changes
- ✓Experience with customs brokers and trade programs
- ✓Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- ✓Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
