About the Role
We are looking for a PDS&T Engineer to join our Product Development Science and Technology (PDS&T) Team in Sligo. This position reports to the Associate Director, PDS&T – Combination Products, Aesthetics & Devices (CAD) and will support multiple devices such as catheters, autoinjectors, syringes, pumps, and other devices.
Key Responsibilities
- →Develop engineering/technical solutions for products and processes
- →Transfer new products from late-stage development into manufacturing
- →Support regulatory submissions and implement major line improvements
- →Develop, plan, coordinate and direct PDS&T aspects of projects
- →Serve as technical lead for Design Verification activities
- →Participate in investigations and develop technical solutions for product functional issues
- →Develop, improve or transfer test methods for combination devices
- →Provide guidance to AbbVie and Third-Party Manufacturing sites
- →Independently design and conduct critical experiments
- →Implement new experimental protocols/techniques
- →Develop and execute plans to support product changes
- →Adhere to corporate standards regarding code of conduct, safety, and GxP compliance
- →Travel up to 10%
Requirements
- ✓Strong engineering background with technical competency

- ✓Experience with combination products and devices
- ✓Knowledge of regulatory submissions and manufacturing processes
- ✓Proficiency in GxP compliance and safety standards
- ✓Ability to work with minimal supervision in a self-managed environment
