About the Role
AbbVie Information Security is seeking a Security Analyst, Incident Response to join the Cyber Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT). This role will be the first line of defense against cyber-attacks, responsible for initial triage of security alerts and responding to confirmed incidents.
Key Responsibilities
- →Respond to cyber security alerts within defined SLAs
- →Contribute to initiatives to enhance the Cyber Security Operations team’s maturity and capabilities
- →Adhere to cyber security processes and procedures during incident response
- →Assist with development of documentation for incident response tasks
- →Analyze security system logs and tools to identify attacks and report irregularities
- →Identify monitoring/detection gaps and help drive resolution
- →Escalate incidents to appropriate analysts when needed
- →Identify and action incident trends during triage and response
- →Assist with development, maintenance, and training on technical documentation and SOPs
- →Support cyber security awareness and education initiatives
- →Operate in a global on-call rotation, available outside normal business hours
Requirements
- ✓Strong understanding of cyber security principles and incident response
- ✓Experience with security system logs and analysis tools
- ✓Knowledge of digital forensics techniques
- ✓Ability to work in a global on-call rotation
- ✓Familiarity with security processes and documentation standards
