About the Role
Technology Engineers work collaboratively with technology and business groups to design, engineer, and implement data, software, and technology solutions that solve significant scientific or business problems. They contribute to the advancement of technology in their area of expertise and develop productive collaborations across multiple disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- →Conceive, design, engineer, and implement data, software, or technology solutions by studying information needs and investigating problem areas
- →Serve as technical expert or lead projects/programs and technical staff to develop, test and implement significant new products or operational improvements
- →Analyze and resolve technical problems using analytical problem-solving methods and tools
- →Contribute to advancement of own function by studying state-of-the-art tools, techniques, and computing equipment
- →Demonstrate high proficiency across a wide range of technologies and platforms related to software design and development
- →Highly autonomous and productive in performing activities, requiring only minimal direction from supervisor
- →May initiate new areas of investigation that can be incorporated into scientific or business activities
- →Provide technical leadership and mentor less experienced staff
- →Maintain relationships with affiliates, subsidiaries, and vendors
- →Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding applicable policies
Requirements
- ✓Strong analytical problem-solving skills
- ✓Proficiency in software design and development, programming languages, data integration, data warehousing, data analysis and visualization tools
- ✓Experience with data storage, network connectivity, and virtualization/cloud environments
- ✓Ability to lead projects and technical staff
- ✓Knowledge of state-of-the-art tools, techniques, and computing equipment
- ✓Understanding of corporate policies regarding code of conduct, safety, GxP compliance, data security, and software development lifecycle
