About the Role
The Information Research organization at AbbVie supports pharmaceutical R&D scientists with implementation of technical solutions. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with scientists and technology professionals addressing everyday challenges and enabling digital transformation of our laboratories.
Key Responsibilities
- →Provide technical expertise and direction in the development and support of client area application systems/programming requirements and processes
- →Prepare application system specifications
- →Develop, test, and implement efficient, cost-effective application solutions
- →Provide comprehensive consultation to business units and IT management on all phases of application deployment and process implementation
- →Design system-to-system data sharing workflows utilizing leading system integration protocols and integration patterns
- →Translate functional specifications into application design specifications, including application architectures, hardware and software configuration specifications, relational database schemas, and component/class specifications
- →Interact closely with Business Systems Analysts, client user community, and IT management to identify technical solutions
- →Interact with AbbVie’s various infrastructure, technical, and security teams to plan, deploy, and integrate technical services and components
- →Coordinate and facilitate application design sessions with development staff
