About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and driven Tech Lead Manager (TLM) to lead our Product Engineering team at Abby Care. You will report to the VP, Head of Engineering and be responsible for setting technical direction, managing execution, and growing a high-performing team that ships reliably in a complex, highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- →Own delivery for a portfolio of product initiatives, defining milestones and ensuring predictable execution across multiple workstreams.
- →Partner with Product, Clinical, Ops, and Analytics to translate business goals into technical plans and delivery timelines.
- →Establish operating cadence to improve velocity, quality, and accountability.
- →Define and evolve the architecture for the product domain, including data models, APIs, and integration patterns.
- →Drive standards for code quality, testing, observability, privacy/security, and incident response.
- →Hire and onboard engineers, building a talent pipeline and running a rigorous interview process.
- →Coach and develop engineers through regular feedback and career growth plans.
Requirements
- ✓8+ years of professional experience in software engineering, including 4+ years in engineering leadership.
- ✓Proven track record leading a team to ship complex products end-to-end with high reliability.
- ✓Strong system design and architecture skills: scalable services, APIs, data modeling, and production operations.
- ✓Ability to operate in ambiguous environments, creating clarity and driving execution with multiple stakeholders.
- ✓Experience hiring and growing teams: interviewing, leveling, performance management, and mentoring.
