The work:
We are seeking a skilled Systems Administrator with a strong background in security compliance, configuration auditing, and system hardening. The ideal candidate has experience designing, documenting, and maintaining system configurations, technical processes, and operational standards. You will have experience leading or supporting large‑scale deployments, migrations, or modernization initiatives, as well as hands‑on expertise managing AWS resources such as EC2, VPC, IAM, and S3. You should bring knowledge of virtualization platforms, cloud technologies, or hybrid environments, along with familiarity in automation and scripting tools used for configuration management or system orchestration. Experience working in ITIL‑aligned environments, supporting process improvement initiatives, and participating in security assessments, compliance audits, or authority‑to‑operate activities is also highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, workstations, web servers, and enterprise systems.
• Manage complex system upgrades, patching cycles, and performance tuning to ensure high availability and stability.
• Oversee backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.
• Conduct advanced audits and ensure compliance with security, configuration, and policy standards.
• Evaluate, recommend, and implement enterprise hardware/software solutions and process improvements.
• Serve as an escalation point for complex issues and provide guidance to junior administrators and support teams.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, system configuration records, and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with IT security, networking, and application teams to support integrated infrastructure operations.
• Identify opportunities for automation, modernization, and process optimization.
Here's what you need:
• 8+ years of professional hands on experience administering and supporting enterprise operating systems (Windows, Linux, or both).
• Proven experience leading system upgrades, patching cycles, and major infrastructure changes in a production environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in performance monitoring, advanced troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for complex system issues.
• Experience managing and optimizing enterprise backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Strong collaboration experience with network, cybersecurity, and application development teams.
• Experience with containerization technologies: EKS with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Top Secret Clearance.
• Onsite in Winchester, VA.
Preferred Certification:
• Current SAFe Agile Software Engineer (ASE) Certification.
• Prior responsibility for serving as an escalation point or technical lead for system administration teams.
• Experience working in enterprises, government, or other regulated environments strongly preferred.

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
