About the Role
We are seeking a Group Sales Manager to join our team at Fairmont Royal York. This role involves managing group inquiries for both Fairmont Royal York and Fairmont Chateau Laurier, with a focus on prospecting and expanding key accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- โMaintain and expand existing key accounts while strategically looking for new group business and/or accounts
- โExceed room night quota as outlined by the Director of Sales
- โDevelop and implement monthly proactive action plans to engage with key clients and accounts
- โConduct assertive prospecting to identify and recommend prospective customers
- โExceed monthly sales activity goals through prospecting, sales trips, personal calls, entertainment, and site inspections
- โBalance multiple priorities with initiative and attention to detail
- โParticipate in site visits, FAMs, trade shows, promotional events, and industry organizations
- โRespond to inquiries about guest room and function space availability
- โInitiate billing procedures to ensure hotel deals with creditable clientele
- โManage and lead a Sales Coordinator to achieve and exceed KPIs
- โHandle multiple tasks with strong organizational and supervisory skills
- โMaintain luxury service standards required by the hotel and company
