The Role
We are currently seeking a Senior Product Manager to join our organisation, specifically as the lead product contributor shaping our API strategy and CIAM (Customer Identity & Access Management) experience.
As the Product Manager in this critical domain, you will treat our developer ecosystem and identity infrastructure as flagship products. You will be responsible for defining the vision, roadmap, and execution for both our developer platform and how users securely access our ecosystem. You will act as the foundational enabler: building robust API infrastructure, seamless developer tools, and scalable CIAM solutions that empower Addepar employees, clients, and third-party developers. You will bridge the gap between complex backend systems, internal stakeholders, and the developer community, establishing robust standards for API design, platform scalability, and secure, frictionless identity management.

What Youβll Do
β’ Own the API & Identity Lifecycle: Manage the core product roadmap for both Addepar's APIs and our CIAM platform. Engage with key stakeholders across the organization to guide endpoints and identity features from initial design and rollout through versioning, scaling, and eventual deprecation.
β’ Drive the CIAM Strategy: Partner with engineering to manage and evolve our Customer Identity and Access Management systems. You will lead the charge on secure authentication, authorization (RBAC), seamless SSO integrations, and user lifecycle management.
β’ Navigate Complex Stakeholder Needs: Work closely with engineering partners to manage requirements from diverse internal teams and external clients regarding user access, identity federation, and platform security. You will act as the primary product voice in these critical CIAM conversations.
β’ Establish Platform Standards: Partner with R&D leaders to define and enforce governance for both API design and access management, ensuring consistency, high performance, and security across all public-facing and internal touchpoints.
β’ Champion Developer Experience (DX): Build and maintain a world-class experience, complete with comprehensive documentation, interactive sandboxes, SDKs, and intuitive self-serve onboarding flows for engineers.
β’ Empower Internal & External Builders: Serve as the platform layer for our R&D teams and external developers. You will ensure the underlying APIs, authentication protocols (OAuth, OIDC), and webhook infrastructures they rely on are robust, secure, and easy to consume.
β’ Prioritize Ruthlessly: Balance immediate stability improvements with long-term strategic architectural changes across both APIs and CIAM. You will need to effectively set expectations with stakeholders and keep the team focused on foundational platform commitments.

β’ Unified API Governance & Modernization: Lead the strategy for standardizing APIs across different Addepar services. You will drive the development of tools, practices, and processes that ensure all new endpoints adhere to strict design, security, and performance standards.
β’ Next-Generation CIAM & Access Control: Lead the strategic enhancement of Addepar's identity management. Focus on streamlining SSO integrations for large enterprise clients, refining granular role-based access control (RBAC), and modernizing the overall authentication experience. You will collaborate closely with engineering and client-facing teams to ensure secure, frictionless access across the platform.
Who You Are
β’ Experience: Extensive product management experience. Experience with CIAM/IAM platforms, API platforms, developer tools, SaaS infrastructure, or fintech is highly preferred.
β’ Platform Mindset: You understand the difference between building an ecosystem app and building the foundational platform that powers it. You excel at creating tools, gateways, and identity solutions for other builders.
β’ Technical Fluency: You are comfortable discussing API integrations, OAuth/OIDC, SSO, authentication protocols, and webhooks. You can read and review technical requirements with engineering leads.
β’ Internal Customer Mindset: You bring a service-oriented approach to product management, prioritizing responsiveness and empathy. You excel at collaborating with internal teams to unblock their roadmaps and are comfortable managing complex stakeholder requests regarding user access and security.
β’ Structured Thinker: You can take a complex web of stakeholder requests and synthesize them into a clear, prioritized quarterly roadmap.
β’ Domain Knowledge: Experience working with financial data (custodians, transactions, positions, security masters) or enterprise security/data reconciliation processes is highly valued.
β’ Clear Communicator: You can effectively communicate the status of complex technical migrations to non-technical stakeholders and leadership.
