About the Role
Adyen is seeking a Linux Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining critical infrastructure services such as load balancers, DNS, and proxies, with a focus on automation and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- →Maintain critical on-prem infrastructure powered by open source
- →Optimize load balancing infrastructure to ensure high availability and reliability
- →Automate manual tasks into efficient operations
- →Collaborate with product managers and developers to translate needs into scalable infrastructure solutions
- →Work cross-functionally with SRE teams and other infrastructure teams
- →Participate in architectural discussions to influence key decisions
- →Maintain DNS and other critical services
- →Drive innovation and improvement of the Adyen Platform
Requirements
- ✓8+ years of relevant work experience
- ✓Experience managing DNS in complex environments
- ✓Proficiency with Linux and troubleshooting complex problems
- ✓Understanding of distributed systems
- ✓Experience in driving and delivering complex projects
- ✓Strong communication skills
- ✓Experience as a mentor

- ✓Technical Skills & Experience
- ✓Strong expertise in managing Linux-based systems, observability, troubleshooting, and tuning
- ✓Understanding of networking concepts, TCP/IP, and TLS
- ✓Experience with DNS solutions like PowerDNS or Bind
- ✓Experience with TLS certificate lifecycle management
- ✓Experience with CDNs
- ✓Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible and Puppet
- ✓Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash or Python
- ✓Understanding of system and service observability
- ✓Experience in system design and building large distributed systems
- ✓Ability to plan, drive, and deliver complex projects
