About the Role
We are looking for a Platform Engineer with 6+ years of experience to join our ACS Infrastructure Services Team at Adyen in Bengaluru. This role involves designing, building, and operating critical infrastructure systems that keep our global payment platform running.
Key Responsibilities
- →Build and operate core infrastructure: Design, implement, and maintain container orchestration (Kubernetes), traffic management (HAProxy, DNS/Anycast), and supporting infrastructure across our global private cloud.
- →Drive automation and reduce toil: Develop tooling and automation that improves provisioning, configuration management, and operational workflows.
- →Ensure reliability at scale: Own the availability and performance of critical platform systems, participate in on-call rotations, and drive incident response and postmortem processes.
- →Collaborate across teams and time zones: Work closely with platform engineers in Amsterdam, Chicago, and Singapore.
- →Shape platform evolution: Contribute to architectural decisions, evaluate new technologies, and help drive platform modernization initiatives.
Requirements
- ✓Linux proficiency: Advanced skills in system administration, networking (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls), and security fundamentals.
- ✓Container technologies expertise: Hands-on experience with Kubernetes at scale, cluster operations, networking, and troubleshooting.
- ✓Traffic management knowledge: Experience with load balancers (HAProxy, Nginx), DNS/Anycast, and CDN/DDoS protection.
- ✓On-prem / bare-metal experience: Comfortable operating infrastructure outside of public cloud, bare-metal provisioning, hardware lifecycle, storage, and datacenter operations.
- ✓Strong scripting and programming skills: Advanced Bash proficiency and intermediate-to-advanced skills in Python or Go.
