About the Role
AECOM Enterprise Capabilities is seeking a talented and experienced Design Manager - Data Centers to join their team in Bogotá, Colombia. This role involves overseeing a wide variety of colocation and hyper-scale data center projects from site due diligence through construction administration.
Key Responsibilities
- →Identify, onboard, and offboard design resources in coordination with department leadership
- →Lead data center core and shell due diligence and design projects from start to finish
- →Develop and enforce multi-site project and program management plans
- →Administer, oversee, and perform peer review and quality checks
- →Oversee and maintain responsibility for project basis of design and localization process
- →Establish and oversee a process to detect, track and resolve scope changes, errors, or inconsistencies
- →Host and attend meetings with clients and external stakeholders
- →Manage and grow AECOM’s data center design team
- →Proactively manage and communicate change throughout the project
- →Identify problems early and develop creative solutions
- →Develop technical and financial proposals for new data center design projects
- →Oversee preparation of project administration documents
Requirements
- ✓Experience overseeing colocation and hyper-scale data center projects
- ✓Strong understanding of civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, security, and fire protection systems
- ✓Ability to develop and enforce multi-site project and program management plans
- ✓Experience with project basis of design and localization processes
- ✓Strong leadership and team management skills
- ✓Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
