About the Role
We are looking for a Project Manager (Defence Infrastructure) to join AECOMβs Defence team. This role involves delivering complex Defence infrastructure projects that support the UKβs Armed Forces.
Key Responsibilities
- βSupport and lead the successful delivery of Defence infrastructure projects through all RIBA stages, ensuring compliance with DIO, JSP, and MOD approvals frameworks.
- βProvide project support to multidisciplinary teams to deliver within programme, budget, and quality expectations.
- βAct as NEC Project Manager or Client Representative, providing clear contract and commercial management.
- βDevelop and maintain effective working relationships with DIO, TLBs, and site users, fostering collaboration across multiple organisations.
- βSupport the development of junior project managers, graduates, and apprentices through mentoring and on-the-job learning.
- βEnsure projects align with sustainability, security, and safety requirements, reflecting AECOMβs and the MODβs governance standards.
Requirements
- βProven experience in project management, ideally under MOD, DIO, or Crown commercial frameworks.
- βWorking knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts, ideally with accreditation or equivalent experience as Project Manager.
- βDemonstrated experience supporting complex multi-disciplinary teams and design and construction delivery.
- βExcellent communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills.
- βProficient in modern project management and digital tools, including MS Project and collaborative delivery platforms.
- βConfident client-facing capability with the ability to develop trusted relationships.
- βEligible for, or holding, UK Security Clearance or higher and sole UK national.
