About the Role

We are seeking a highly talented and motivated Senior Engineer to join our Central California team. This role will support the growth of the Central California Department, focusing on engineering needs of local Special District and Municipal clients within the Water Business Line.

Key Responsibilities

→Provide technical guidance in project planning stages including funding applications, environmental assessments, preliminary engineering studies, and rate studies.
→Guide project design including construction drawings, technical specifications, and cost estimating.
→Manage project bidding including pre-bid meetings, RFIs, addenda preparation, and bid analysis.
→Oversee construction phase engineering services including review of submittals and inspection services.
→Mentor and develop younger professionals.
→Manage multiple concurrent projects including scope, schedules, and budgets.
→Implement AECOM Quality Assurance and Quality Control Program for assigned projects.
→Incorporate client requirements in project management including contract terms and change management.
→Track and manage project financial aspects using AECOM tools.
→Ensure contractual compliance throughout project lifecycle.
→Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
→Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
→Conduct marketing efforts to seek new clients in alignment with Water Business line growth strategies.
→Prepare Statements of Qualifications and Proposals in response to RFPs/RFOs.

Requirements

✓Technical, project management, and business development experience in water/wastewater and civil engineering projects.
✓Ability to provide technical guidance in all project phases from planning to construction.
✓Experience managing multiple concurrent projects.
✓Strong understanding of quality assurance and quality control principles.
✓Knowledge of contract management and change control processes.
✓Experience with project financial management and risk assessment.
