About the Role
We are looking for a Highway & Bridge Project Manager to join our Transportation team at AECOM in Calgary. This role will lead the delivery of complex municipal and provincial highway and bridge projects across Alberta, working closely with multidisciplinary technical teams, clients, and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead and manage the delivery of complex highway, bridge, and other transportation projects for municipal, provincial, federal, and private-sector clients
- →Provide overall project leadership, including scope definition, work planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and governance
- →Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, leading project communications, progress reporting, and issue resolution
- →Coordinate and oversee internal design teams, sub-consultants, and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality, on-time project delivery
- →Lead procurement activities, including preparation and review of proposals, scopes of work, cost estimates, and fee negotiations
- →Monitor and manage project financial performance, resourcing, forecasting, and change management in alignment with contractual requirements
- →Review and approve key project deliverables, reports, correspondence, and client submissions
- →Facilitate and chair client meetings, progress reviews, and coordination sessions
- →Ensure quality management by enforcing compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and project controls
- →Contribute and lead business development activities, client relationship management, and strategic growth initiatives
- →Mentor and support the development of junior project managers and technical staff in conjunction with senior management
- →Perform additional duties intended to support leadership growth within a transportation project delivery environment
Requirements
