About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join our engineering client on a contract-to-hire basis. This person will be responsible for designing network infrastructure and ensuring the operational performance of our infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- →Ensure the high availability and performance of the global network environment
- →Drive process and service improvement initiatives across the global network
- →Ensure high performance of service delivery from our managed service providers
- →Ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met
- →Participate in compliance activities including tracking plans, coordinating testing, and maintaining action plans for audits
- →Oversee all areas of network operations including local area and wide area networking configuration
- →Plan and direct the installation, testing, and operation of IT services
- →Provide regular communications and updates on technical strategic direction and tactical technical delivery
- →Proactively seek out ways to mitigate risk within IT
- →Develop and implement a global network strategy in line with the company’s goals
- →Establish and maintain credible working relationships with business contacts
- →Manage and oversee the global network budget and ensure cost-effectiveness
- →Stay up to date with the latest network management best practices and technologies
Requirements
- ✓Experience in designing and managing network infrastructure
- ✓Strong understanding of telecommunications and IT services
- ✓Knowledge of Change Management processes
- ✓Experience with compliance activities and audits
- ✓Ability to plan and direct the installation and operation of IT services
- ✓Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- ✓Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- ✓Experience with network management best practices and technologies
