About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and dynamic Signage & Wayfinding Designer to create intuitive navigation systems for complex spaces. The designer will work with client and consultant teams to develop signage, maps, and digital guides that enhance user experience and accessibility.
Key Responsibilities
- →Conduct site analysis, user research, and understand architectural plans to develop wayfinding strategies
- →Develop overarching wayfinding concepts and visual systems aligned with client systems and guidelines
- →Create signage, symbols, maps, digital guides, and prototypes, integrating branding and accessibility
- →Work with architects, clients, contractors, and manufacturers to coordinate designs and infrastructure
- →Review shop drawings and construction documents, manage mock-ups, and oversee production/installation
- →Ensure compliance with accessibility standards and cater to diverse user needs
Requirements
- ✓Experience in signage and wayfinding systems for complex spaces
- ✓Ability to guide users efficiently and reduce confusion in challenging environments
- ✓Knowledge of mobility strategy and accessibility standards (e.g., ADA)
- ✓Experience with review and assessment of wayfinding systems from strategy through to detailed design
- ✓Ability to attend workshops with clients and consultants to achieve required outcomes
