About the Role
We are looking for a Transportation Engineer or Transportation Planner to join our team supporting a major contract with Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise in Ocoee, Florida. This role focuses on innovative tolls, roadways, and travel demand initiatives shaping the future of transportation.
Key Responsibilities
- →Apply statewide tour-based model and regional travel demand models
- →Fulfill model enhancement, data updates, code maintenance, and project application requests
- →Create and update model data, code for project applications
- →Assemble and prepare data for model validation and long-range travel forecasts
- →Develop forecasts for toll road projects
- →Document modeling results
- →Utilize QGIS/ArcGIS with related database development skills
- →Conduct research on design, data development, and statistical analyses
Requirements
- ✓Experience with Visum, TransCAD, QGIS, R, and Python software
- ✓Knowledge of Generative AI (LLMs or Chatbots)
- ✓Skills in QGIS/ArcGIS and database development
- ✓Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or other programming languages
- ✓Ability to address model shortcomings and recommend improved approaches
