About the Role
Agile Defense is seeking a Data Engineer to support the design and development of scalable, AI-enabled data solutions for the Department of Defense’s CDAO ADA IR program. This role involves working in a multidisciplinary team to integrate advanced analytics, machine learning, and engineering practices into mission-critical environments.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design and maintain scalable data science services for data ingestion, transformation, and feature engineering
- →Build and operationalize AI/ML solutions for decision support, automation, anomaly detection, and pattern recognition
- →Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends and opportunities within datasets
- →Collaborate with product managers, developers, and mission stakeholders to transform raw data into meaningful insights
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of specialized experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- ✓4+ years of experience in applied data science, machine learning engineering, or data pipeline development
- ✓Proficient in Python, SQL, and distributed data frameworks like Spark and Databricks
- ✓Experience developing ML models from training to deployment using tools like scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and XGBoost
- ✓Familiarity with MLOps, API development, and secure cloud-based environments
- ✓Strong understanding of data validation, model testing, and performance evaluation techniques
- ✓Experience with data visualization and storytelling using tools such as Tableau, Plotly, or Matplotlib
