About the Role
Agile Defense is seeking a talented Network Engineer to establish and maintain enterprise infrastructure by updating and tuning the network, directing hardware installations, and executing test procedures. This role identifies and troubleshoots complex network problems using monitoring tools and implements solutions to ensure maximum performance.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design and implement network solutions for AWS environments, including lift and shift migration of on-premises systems
- →Troubleshoot network issues across on-prem and AWS connected environments
- →Perform Ethernet and fiber cable installations and data center hardware rack installations
- →Manage Cisco telecommunication devices and hybrid network connectivity
- →Develop system engineering designs and documentation for network architectures
- →Present technical concepts and cloud networking designs to stakeholders
- →Provide support for after-hours and weekend maintenance activities
- →Train and guide junior engineers on hybrid cloud networking
- →Manage customer requests and incidents using a ticketing system
Requirements
- ✓10 years of experience in large government organization network administration
- ✓6 years in technical leadership role supporting AWS cloud networking
- ✓8 years of experience with network protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, etc.)
- ✓8 years of hands-on experience with Cisco switches (9300, 5300, Nexus series)
- ✓5 years of experience with network monitoring software (Netscout, SolarWinds)
- ✓3 years of data center operations experience
- ✓Bachelor of Science in information technology
- ✓Preferred certifications: CCNP Enterprise, CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
