About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Biostatistician to join an innovative HEOR consulting firm. This role involves conducting healthcare economic, clinical effectiveness, and burden of illness analyses to support pharmaceutical products, particularly in oncology.
Key Responsibilities
- →Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement HEOR studies for large pharmaceutical companies
- →Conduct statistical analyses to derive insights from complex healthcare databases
- →Develop and validate statistical analysis plans to assess treatment effectiveness, cost-effectiveness, and patient outcomes
- →Write statistical code and collaborate with other biostatisticians for code and results auditing
- →Communicate findings through comprehensive reports and presentations
- →Mentor and train junior staff on statistical methods and programming best practices
- →Reference EMR and claims databases and work with data vendors
Requirements
- ✓Master’s or PhD in Biostatistics, Statistics, Epidemiology, or a related field
- ✓Minimum of 5 years of experience in biostatistics within the HEOR or pharmaceutical industry
- ✓Proficiency in statistical programming languages including SAS and R
- ✓Strong understanding of statistical methodologies and their applications in health economics and outcomes research
- ✓Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings effectively
- ✓Strong communication skills and an entrepreneurial spirit
- ✓Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) databases and claims databases is preferred
