The Role
We’re looking for a Staff Software Developer who can own big technical decisions, build scalable systems, and help shape our engineering culture as we grow. You’ll work across the stack, solve complex problems, and turn ambiguity into clear direction. This is a high‑impact role with broad autonomy.
What You'll Do
• Architect and build scalable, high‑performance systems for aviation operations
• Define technical problem spaces and set engineering direction in ambiguous areas
• Lead team based technical decisions, standards, and architecture
• Drive long-term technical strategy and de‑risk major initiatives
• Partner closely with engineering managers, product and design to ship software
• Mentor engineers and elevate team quality and velocity
• Act as senior on‑call escalation and lead high-severity incident response
About You
• 10+ years building production systems in the cloud
• Strong experience with C# / .NET Core (or similar back-end tech)
• Proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern front-end frameworks (React, Vue, etc.)
• Experience with microservices, performance optimized or distributed systems, APIs
• Familiarity with MySQL/MongoDB and message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ)
• CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions, TFS)
• Developer tooling or automation contributions
• Strong systems thinking, communication, and leadership in fast-paced environments

Please note that this role requires three days a week in our Toronto office which is located near Union Station
