About the Role
You will join a collaborative team of data scientists, analysts, engineers, product managers, and designers who build pricing products for Airbnb hosts. Your core team will consist of data scientists within the Guest & Host Data Science organization, who develop models, foundational tools, and insights to improve the Airbnb marketplace and product for guests and hosts.
Key Responsibilities
- →Develop a strong relationship with cross-functional partners in Product, Engineering, and Analytics.
- →Write software (Python, SQL, R) to model, simulate, and measure the impact of new pricing features.
- →Creatively dive into data to understand the differential effects of pricing feature launches and turn that understanding into clear insights.
- →Communicate learnings and insights to leaders and partners in a simple and lucid way.
Requirements
- ✓5+ years of experience with a BS/masters degree, or 2+ years of experience with a PhD.
- ✓Experience with experimentation and causal observational analysis.
- ✓Strong coding skills in SQL and either Python or R.
- ✓Ability to autonomously set a roadmap for business impact.
- ✓Strong oral and written communication skills - an ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
