About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our Trust & Safety team at Airbnb. This role focuses on developing innovative ways to predict and prevent critical life safety and property damage incidents on our platform.
Key Responsibilities
- βBuild and continuously improve cutting-edge Machine Learning models for Airbnb product, business, and operational use cases
- βCollaborate with cross-functional teams to stop critical life safety and property damage incidents in real time
- βCreate new holistic machine learning model detection strategies
- βDevelop, productionize, and operate Machine Learning models and pipelines at scale
Requirements
- β5+ years of industry experience in applied Machine Learning
- βA Bachelorβs, Masterβs or PhD in CS/ML or related field
- βStrong programming (Scala / Python / Java/ C++ or equivalent) and data engineering skills
- βDeep understanding of Machine Learning best practices, algorithms, and domains
- βExperience with 3 or more of these technologies: Tensorflow, PyTorch, Kubernetes, Spark, Airflow, Kafka, data warehouse (eg. Hive)
- βIndustry experience building end-to-end Machine Learning infrastructure
