The Difference You Will Make:
The Senior Program Manager for Information Security will lead operational initiatives, planning, and efficiency improvements within Airbnbβs Information Security (InfoSec) organization. This role collaborates with senior leaders across InfoSec and the company to scale and enhance security business operations in support of business growth.
A Typical Day:
β’ Strategic Planning: Facilitate biannual planning cycles, including goal setting, cross-functional alignment, resource allocation, and budget management. Develop and adapt frameworks to prioritize and allocate capacity across teams.
β’ OKR Performance Measurement: Establish and track Objective Key Results (OKRs) to measure the effectiveness of strategic initiatives and operational processes.
β’ Project Execution: Drive the execution of major organizational projects, ensuring timely delivery and achievement of outcomes.
β’ Operational Optimization: Streamline workflows to improve efficiency, productivity, and scalability within InfoSec. Use automation, process improvements, and self-service tools, and lead change management and adoption efforts.
β’ Communication: Prepare company-wide InfoSec communications, including reports and emails etc for engineering audiences.
β’ Budget Management: Partner with organizational leaders on budgeting, headcount planning, and resource allocation.
β’ Data-Driven Insights: Provide actionable insights to support decision-making and assess the effectiveness of executive operations.
β’ Best Practices: Develop and implement best practices for project management, data analysis, and reporting.
Your Expertise:
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field;
β’ 5+ years of proven experience in strategy, operations, or program management within a technology or engineering organization.
β’ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly assess situations, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions.
β’ Demonstrated excellence in communication and presentation, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
β’ Demonstrated experience leading and influencing complex, cross-functional programs and projects from conception to completion.
β’ Experience collaborating with security/software engineers to identify risks, think strategically, and translate high-level requirements into tactical plans.
β’ Preferred Qualifications:
β’ Experience with data analytics and visualization tools.
β’ (Bonus) Background in Security organizations, with an understanding of security concepts and a broad range of risks and controls.
β’ (Bonus) Familiarity with AI-enabled workflows (automation, summarization/synthesis, risk identification)

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
