About the Role
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead Airtable's AI Product engineering team, which builds the user-facing AI experiences that make Airtable magical. This role involves owning the AI experiences that put powerful agents directly in users' hands and driving the roadmap for how AI transforms what's possible in Airtable.
Key Responsibilities
- →Own user-facing AI experiences: Lead an AI product engineering team responsible for shipping high quality AI features and intelligent features that transform how hundreds of thousands of organizations work
- →Drive rapid iteration on AI features: Establish a culture of experimentation and velocity, leveraging the latest models, agent libraries, and AI tooling
- →Partner deeply with Product and Design: Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to define the roadmap and ensure every AI feature delivers intuitive, delightful experiences
- →Leverage platform to accelerate delivery: Build on Airtable's AI Platform foundation to ship features quickly and safely while maintaining quality at enterprise scale
- →Grow a high-performing team: Recruit, coach, and develop engineers who combine strong product instincts with technical excellence
Requirements
- ✓Product-minded engineering leader: You obsess over user experience and business impact, not just technical elegance
- ✓AI-native builder: You understand the landscape of LLMs, agent frameworks, RAG architectures, and emerging AI tooling
- ✓Velocity-oriented: You know how to move fast without breaking things and have built teams that ship iteratively
- ✓Collaborative partner: You thrive working with Product and Design as true partners
- ✓Comfortable with ambiguity: The AI landscape changes rapidly, and you're energized rather than paralyzed by uncertainty
- ✓Proven technical and leadership foundation: 5+ years experience as an engineer and 1+ years as a manager, with experience shipping AI-powered products
