Compliance manager, Deputy MLRO at Airwallex

About the Role

We are looking for a Compliance Manager & Money Laundering Reporting Officer to join Airwallex's global compliance team. This critical role will serve as the designated MLRO for Airwallex's UAE-licensed entity, responsible for driving and embedding compliance programs in the MENA region.

Key Responsibilities

• →Own and develop the compliance framework for Airwallex's UAE entities, building on the global compliance framework
• →Serve as the primary compliance contact with regulators including DFSA and CBUAE
• →Manage day-to-day AML interactions, examinations, and ad-hoc requests
• →Handle enhanced due diligence approvals, name screening alert escalations, and Suspicious Transaction Reports
• →Develop and maintain an effective anti-money laundering and compliance program
• →Provide expert advice to Commercial and Operations teams on compliance matters
• →Work with the Financial Partnership team to handle enquiries from external parties
• →Develop and manage monitoring and reporting processes for senior management
• →Design and execute reports to measure the success of Compliance initiatives
