About the Role
We are looking for a Data & Privacy Program Manager to join Airwallex's global Data & Privacy team within the Legal, Risk & Compliance function. This role will play a pivotal part in establishing and evolving Airwallex's global data protection and governance framework, working cross-functionally to support privacy and AI risk assessments, privacy contracting, data subject rights compliance, and data privacy incident response.
Key Responsibilities
- →Establish, maintain, and continuously evolve the organization’s data privacy framework and governance program
- →Develop and update privacy policies, procedures and standards in line with global regulations like GDPR and CCPA
- →Support development of data governance processes in partnership with Engineering and InfoSec
- →Translate privacy policies into practical workflows and controls embedded in tools like Slack, Jira, Confluence
- →Configure, maintain and improve privacy processes and tooling for DSR, ROPA, DPIA
- →Support privacy risk assessment processes for new products and features
- →Support review and negotiation of data processing agreements
- →Deliver and maintain privacy training and awareness programs
- →Track privacy and AI legal and regulatory changes
Requirements
- ✓6+ years' experience in privacy and data protection program management
- ✓Strong knowledge of data protection regulations, specifically EU/UK GDPR
- ✓Master's degree in Law or Information Security, or equivalent experience
- ✓Technical skills configuring privacy tooling and integrating them into workflows
- ✓Experience with data governance concepts and tooling
- ✓Experience translating data protection policies into concrete workflows
- ✓Expertise in program management and cross-functional projects
- ✓Strong communicator able to explain complex privacy requirements
- ✓Fluency in English
- ✓Strong interest in financial services regulation and fintech industry
