About the Role
We are looking for a Manager, Regulatory Compliance to join our Legal, Risk & Compliance (LRC) team at Airwallex. This role will focus on leading regulatory engagement for Airwallex in Mexico, ensuring compliance across the business, and managing regulator relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- →Lead regulatory compliance across license applications, authorizations, and regulator engagement
- →Own ongoing regulatory obligations including reporting, exams, inspections, and managing compliance risk
- →Advise the business on regulatory change, conduct risk, and licensing requirements
- →Deliver the Compliance Monitoring Program, including thematic reviews and oversight
- →Drive compliance capability across the business through training and targeted projects
Requirements
- ✓6 years of regulatory compliance experience in a financial institution, FinTech, legal/consulting firm
- ✓Familiarity with financial regulatory laws in Mexico and across the Americas region
- ✓Data proficiency and ability to work with data for strategic decision-making
- ✓Experience with developing/maintaining a compliance program within a financial institution
- ✓Exposure to licensing processes, regulatory expansion, and RegTech solutions
- ✓Understanding of financial products and related conduct risk, ethics, and controls
- ✓Fluency in Spanish and English in both written and verbal communication
