About the Role
We are looking for a Video Quality Assurance Specialist to join our Video Department at Ajax Systems, a leading European manufacturer of security systems. This role focuses on ensuring high-quality video performance across our product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- βEvaluate image quality parameters including brightness, contrast, saturation, sharpness, and white balance
- βAssess video artifacts such as noise, blurring, overexposure, and underexposure
- βTest day/night modes, WDR/HDR, 3DNR, and BLC technologies
- βWork with IR and white-led illuminators
- βDevelop high-level test documentation including test strategies, plans, and methodologies
- βBuild and maintain testing laboratories and infrastructure
- βLead and mentor engineering teams
Requirements
- βExperience in image quality assessment
- βKnowledge of photography/video fundamentals (shutter speed, gain, gamma, color temperature)
- βUnderstanding of video compression principles (H.264/H.265, FPS, bitrate, GOP)
- βProficiency with VLC, ffmpeg, or similar video tools
- βExperience with graphic editors like Photoshop and Lightroom
- βFamiliarity with client-server architecture for video surveillance
- βExperience leading teams of 3+ people
