About the Role
We are looking for a QA Engineer to join the QA Department at Ajax Systems, a leading European developer and manufacturer of smart home security systems. This role involves testing and ensuring the reliability of our innovative smart home ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- βTest the OS hub - Malevich
- βUnderstand the system architecture thoroughly
- βFind bugs and investigate root causes using logs and external manifestations
- βPerform extensive investigation and troubleshooting
- βParticipate in documentation analysis and updates
- βValidate the system against functional and non-functional requirements
- βEstimate tasks
- βWrite checklists, test cases, and test plans
- βWork with Git
- βIdentify issues in Malevich and other parts of the system (Server, Mobile/Desktop Apps)
- βInteract with other teams and departments (developers, designers, business analysts)
- βWork with QA tools (server/device emulators)
- βInteract with Beta Test participants and Support team
- βParticipate in optimizing testing processes
- βImprove the overall quality of the system
Requirements
- βExcellent knowledge of testing theory
- βAbility to apply test design techniques
- βAbility to write bug reports and test cases
- βKnowledge of SDLC
- βExperience with requirements and technical specifications
- βGood analytical skills
- βTechnical education
- βAbility to find not only problems but also cause-and-effect relationships
- βKnowledge of binary and hexadecimal number systems
- βHigh level of self-organization
