About the Role
Ajax Systems, a leading European manufacturer of security systems, is seeking an Embedded QA Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for testing VMS solutions and ensuring system stability in real-world scenarios.
Key Responsibilities
- βTest VMS solutions (backend + client applications) and verify system stability in real usage scenarios
- βValidate client-server interactions and identify bottlenecks in service operations
- βVerify network settings (DNS, DHCP, ports, firewall, subnetting) and analyze their impact on system performance
- βAnalyze logs and locate defects in Linux environments
- βWork with Linux, using console tools for diagnostics and problem reproduction
- βCreate and maintain test documentation (test plans, test cases, checklists)
- βAnalyze requirements, ask clarifying questions, and participate in refinement/planning
- βEvaluate tasks of varying complexity and ensure their quality
- βWork with builds through CI/CD (Jenkins), testing features in test environments
- βDescribe bugs accurately and support them until fully resolved
Requirements
- βUnderstanding of networks: DNS, DHCP, TCP/UDP ports, firewall, subnet masks
- βBasic or confident knowledge of Linux (ssh, scp, top, ps, ls)
- βUnderstanding of client-server architecture
- βKnowledge of testing theory (severity/priority, test design techniques, requirements analysis)
- βExperience creating test documentation
- βExperience with CI/CD (Jenkins)
- βAbility to independently evaluate tasks
- βExperience working in Agile teams
- βGood communication skills
