About the Role
We are looking for a Technical Lead for the Linux Embedded Developers team in the Video Department at Ajax Systems, a leading European developer and manufacturer of security systems with smart home capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- →Provide technical leadership in developing embedded solutions on ARM platforms
- →Lead development at the kernel level and low-level integration (Linux kernel, drivers, system services)
- →Ensure integration of SDK/BSP with the application level implemented in C++
- →Coordinate software architecture with hardware constraints and requirements
- →Organize processes for defect analysis, performance optimization, and system diagnostics
- →Interact with Hardware, Mechanical, QA, Video System, and Production teams
- →Interact with technical support from solution providers (ARM platforms, ISP, DSP, etc.)
- →Support the product lifecycle (releases, updates, maintenance)
- →Implement and maintain development standards, review processes, and quality assurance practices
- →Manage technical risks of embedded solutions and define strategies to minimize them
- →Develop and mentor developers in the team
Requirements
- ✓10+ years of experience in embedded development
- ✓At least 5 years of experience as a Senior or Technical Lead
- ✓Professional proficiency in C/C++, SHELL-scripting, and tools like Git, make, cmake, and build systems
- ✓Deep knowledge of Embedded Linux (U-boot, Secure Boot, ARM Toolchains, Kernel, Device Tree, udev, RootFS, BusyBox)
- ✓Experience with adapting SDK/BSP and platform bring-up
- ✓Experience with RTOS
- ✓Deep knowledge of digital and analog interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART/TTL, Ethernet, USB, HDMI, MIPI, SATA, eMMC, etc.) and experience with peripheral devices
- ✓Experience supporting production solutions and long-term support cycles
- ✓Experience with large embedded projects
