About the Role
AlertMedia is looking for a Manager, Software Engineering to lead their Travel Risk Management development team. This role combines technical expertise with leadership skills to oversee product development and team management.
Key Responsibilities
- →Oversee the design, development, and deployment of the Travel Risk Management product
- →Manage the professional development and technical direction for a team of engineers
- →Work closely with cross-functional teams including product management and customer support
- →Engage in active coding and technical problem-solving using Python, Django, Next.js, React, Node and other web technologies
- →Drive the adoption of AI tools in both product and development lifecycle
- →Work in an Agile environment using tools like Git, JIRA, Jenkins, and Slack
- →Serve as a point of contact for engineers in the Mexico City office
- →Contribute to AlertMedia’s culture, values and vision
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred
- ✓Experience leading and managing a team of engineers
- ✓5+ years of experience building scalable applications with modern frameworks
- ✓Experience with Amazon AWS
- ✓Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
- ✓Proficiency leveraging AI tools for product development
- ✓Ability to work in a fast-paced challenging environment
- ✓English proficiency both oral and written
