About the Role
We are looking for a Civil Designer to join our growing team at Benesch. In this role, you will work on various transportation projects with state and local transportation agencies, performing engineering models, analysis, and designs.
Key Responsibilities
- βCollect and assimilate data and perform modeling, analysis, and design calculations of project elements
- βDraw design details under direction of others
- βCompute quantities and demonstrate awareness of relationships to pay items
- βOrganize calculations to be included in design files, following project standards
- βCoordinate drafting of an element
- βPerform field or site visits as needed
- βDevelop cursory knowledge of applicable codes and standards and use of applicable CADD and Microsoft software
Requirements
- βBachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related discipline required
- βE.I.T (or desire to obtain P.E. in the future) preferred
- βKnowledgeable in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Microsoft Office products
- βDemonstrated ability to work and collaborate in a team environment on challenging projects
- βWillingness to be adaptable to office and field inspection tasks
- βExcellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- βDetailed and organized individual who thrives in deadline-driven environments
