Principal Engineer – Platform Experience - Salesforce
Team Description
Join the Platform Experience team, a core group within our GPTO Engineering organization, where you will report to the Director of Engineering. Our team is on a mission to provide the unshakeable foundation of trust, security, and scale for the entire Anaplan ecosystem. We empower our internal developers and external partners to build with speed and confidence.
Your Impact
• Contribute significantly to the design and execution of our Platform Experience, playing a vital role across Product Security, Platform Management, and Data Integration initiatives.
• Design, build, and maintain the highly available, secure, and scalable services that form the backbone of our platform.
• Champion engineering excellence through high-quality, hands-on coding, collaborative design reviews, and mentorship of junior engineers on Salesforce Technologies.
• Actively participate in technical planning, contribute to our team's strategy, and engage in critical incident retrospectives to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and other engineering groups, to deliver robust and reliable platform solutions.
Your Qualifications
• A skilled software engineer with 8+ years of experience as a Salesforce Developer.
• Expert knowledge of Salesforce Flows, Process Builder, and other declarative development tools.
• Advanced expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Visualforce.
• A proven track record of writing clean, scalable, and well-tested code.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, agile environment.
Preferred Skills
• Experience with private and public cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
• Experience with MuleSoft, AWS, or other integration/middleware platforms.
• Proven ability to influence your team's technical decisions and lead projects to completion.
• A passion for mentoring other engineers and elevating the team's capabilities.
