As a DevOps Engineer focused on GCP, you build and optimize cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and automation solutions, ensuring reliable and scalable systems.
You are proactive, challenge processes, and continuously improve efficiency while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
You Bring to Applaudo the Following Competencies:
β’ Bachelorβs Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
β’  Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish).
β’  5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or related roles.
β’  Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including architecture and deployment of cloud-native solutions.
β’  Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration in production environments.
β’  Strong proficiency with Docker for containerization.
β’  Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
β’  Solid experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Jenkins.
β’  Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar) for automation.
β’  Experience implementing monitoring and alerting solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, GCP Monitoring).
β’  Knowledge of cloud networking, security, and IAM best practices in GCP.
β’  Experience working with distributed systems and microservices architectures.
β’  Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex cloud environments.
β’  Experience designing reusable templates and scalable infrastructure solutions.
β’  Familiarity with multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
β’  Experience with configuration and deployment tools such as Argo CD is a plus.
β’  Advanced English proficiency, working with distributed teams and stakeholders.
You Will Be Accountable for the Following Responsibilities:
β’ Design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure solutions in GCP.
β’  Build, optimize, and manage CI/CD pipelines for application deployments.
β’  Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
β’  Containerize applications and manage deployments using Kubernetes and Docker.
β’  Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure system reliability and performance.
β’  Collaborate with development teams to streamline deployment processes and improve delivery speed.
β’  Automate repetitive tasks and operational processes through scripting and tooling.
β’  Ensure security best practices are applied across cloud infrastructure and pipelines.
β’  Troubleshoot and resolve issues across environments, ensuring minimal downtime.
β’  Design reusable infrastructure templates and deployment standards for multiple teams.
β’  Continuously optimize cloud costs, performance, and scalability.
β’  Support and guide teams in adopting DevOps best practices and cloud-native solutions.
β’  Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical decision-making.
β’  Stay up to date with DevOps, Kubernetes, and GCP trends and emerging technologies.
β’  Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, reliable product delivery.
