You Bring to Applaudo the Following Competencies:
β’ Bachelorβs Degree in Interaction Design, UX/UI Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Service Design, Graphic Design (UX-focused), or equivalent experience.
β’ 4β6+ years of experience designing digital interfaces (Web and Mobile).
β’ 1β2+ years demonstrating strong product thinking and data-informed decision-making.
β’ Advanced proficiency in Figma, including design systems, tokens, and scalable file governance.
β’ Proven ability to define, track, and analyze UX metrics (e.g., task success rate, time on task, error rate).
β’ Experience influencing product backlog through data-driven design proposals.
β’ Strong experience collaborating with Product Managers, engineers, and data teams.
β’ Solid understanding of A/B testing methodologies and experimentation frameworks.
β’ Experience participating in product discovery and roadmap definition.
β’ Familiarity with Product Design frameworks such as Lean UX or Continuous Discovery.
β’ Strong communication skills with the ability to present insights, decisions, and rationale effectively.
β’ High level of autonomy, with the ability to define scope, priorities, and timelines independently.
β’ Experience mentoring or guiding other designers is a plus.
β’ Solid understanding of frontend development, databases, and cloud environments.
β’ Experience designing AI-driven features while considering ethical and technical constraints.
β’ AI fluency, with the ability to use AI tools to extend design capabilities (research synthesis, prototyping, frontend shaping).
β’ English proficiency (C1 or higher) and Spanish fluency.
You Will Be Accountable for the Following Responsibilities:
β’ Co-lead product vision and design strategy alongside Product Managers and data teams.
β’ Own end-to-end design processes, from discovery and ideation to delivery and validation.
β’ Define, track, and optimize UX metrics to improve user experience and business outcomes.
β’ Identify opportunities and propose improvements to the product backlog based on data and user insights.
β’ Collaborate with data teams to design and analyze A/B experiments, validating design decisions with evidence.
β’ Deliver design solutions supported by clear metrics frameworks and tracking plans.
β’ Navigate ambiguity with autonomy, defining scope, setting priorities, and managing timelines independently.
β’ Leverage AI tools to expand design impact, including research synthesis, automation, and frontend iteration.
β’ Contribute to defining AI best practices and standards within the design team.
β’ Mentor UX/UI Designers in product thinking, data-informed design, and ownership mindset.
β’ Participate in product roadmap planning, sprint ceremonies, and discovery sessions.
β’ Facilitate workshops to align business objectives, user needs, and product strategy.
β’ Ensure high-quality design delivery through scalable systems, consistency, and attention to detail.
β’ Stay up to date with UI trends, emerging technologies, and AI-driven design practices.
β’ Support hiring processes by reviewing technical assessments and participating in interviews.
