About the Role
We are looking for our first Industrial Designer to join Applied Intuition’s design team. This role involves understanding and solving complex workflows for software engineers developing autonomous machines and corresponding hardware.
Key Responsibilities
- →Develop design themes for hardware concepts from sketch, prototype, to production
- →Build and iterate physical prototypes to inform product architecture with human factors in mind
- →Work quickly to ship new features in 5 week release cycles
- →Create and communicate design intent through sketches, CAD, prototypes, CMF strategy and design documentation
- →Collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Business Development for highly technical and complex engineering challenges
Requirements
- ✓6+ years of Industrial design experience
- ✓Prototyped and developed hardware for software in fast-paced, technical environments
- ✓Keen sense of human factors
- ✓Ability to take complex engineering constraints and make user-friendly and intuitive designs
- ✓Strong ability to hit the ground running with incomplete feature scopes and fragmented information
- ✓Bachelors in Human-Computer Interaction, or related design field
