Pay Range: $44,700 – 55,100 CAD annual pay is dependent on year of study and related experienceÂ
Duration: Four (4) months, Sept 8, 2026 – December 18, 2026
Hours Per Week:Â 40 hours per week, M-F
Your Co-Op Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:
As an Application Engineer, you will be part of the platform team responsible for maintaining and enhancing the Salesforce platform that supports our Guest Services and ReBIRD teams. In this role, you will help ensure the platform remains reliable, scalable, and effective for day-to-day business operations. You will develop defined features within our Salesforce suite of applications using both programmatic and declarative approaches, diagnose and resolve bugs, ensure adequate unit test coverage where applicable, and regularly report progress to engineering managers.
You will be collaborating with a team of driven and experienced engineers and working alongside colleagues who are passionate about proactively improving existing systems and ensuring long-term operational stability.

Meet Your Future Team:
The Platform Engineering – Salesforce Technology team develops and maintains the foundational frameworks, guardrails, and best practices leveraged by product squads delivering business initiatives across Guest Services and After-Sales. Working within a cross-functional Agile model, the team helps ensure our Salesforce platform remains scalable, reliable, and consistent, enabling squads to build and deploy features that support seamless and engaging guest experiences.
If you were an Application Engineer Co-Op Student now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
• Supporting the implementation of defined features on the Salesforce Service Cloud platform using out-of-the-box configuration and, where appropriate, custom development with Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Flows
• Assisting with diagnosing and resolving bugs or defects to help maintain platform stability and functionality
• Writing and maintaining unit tests with guidance from senior team members to support code quality and reliability
• Providing regular progress updates to your manager and team members
• Supporting user setup and configuration requests within the Salesforce Service Cloud platform
• Collaborating with senior engineers and cross-functional team members to design, build, and deliver high-quality solutions
• Participating in code reviews, applying feedback, and learning best practices for scalable and maintainable Salesforce development
• Assisting in creating and updating technical documentation for implemented features, configurations, and support processes
• Participating in Agile team ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Building autonomy over time by taking ownership of assigned tasks from start to finish with appropriate support and guidance
• Learning and demonstrating the Arc’teryx Leadership Code, particularly Lead Self, through curiosity, accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning

In this role, you will gain hands-on experience working within the Salesforce Core ecosystem, supporting the platform that enables our Guest Services and ReBIRD teams. You will apply established engineering standards and best practices while developing skills in configuration, custom development, technical troubleshooting, and platform support. You will contribute to shared platform frameworks and assets, collaborate with senior engineers to deliver high-quality solutions, and leave with a strong foundation in scalable Salesforce Core development and cross-functional product delivery.

• You want to develop a solid understanding of core fundamentals in the Salesforce ecosystem
• You are currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical program
• You have a foundational understanding of object-oriented programming concepts
• You have exposure to web development concepts, including HTML, CSS and/or JavaScript,
• You are familiar with relational databases, data models, APIs, or system integrations
• You are dedicated to advancing your skills and growing as an engineer in the Salesforce space
• You communicate clearly in writing and verbally, including sharing progress, blockers, and technical findings
• You are curious and willing to learn new tools, platforms, and business processes
• You are excited to work with a team and eager to learn the best- ractices in engineering and architecting solutions on the Salesforce platform
• You enjoy building and continuing to evolve your knowledge of DevOps
• You are eager to focus on a specific product sub-area and achieve mastery in that domain
• You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
• You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
• You seek the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right

Compensation
$44,700 - $55,100 a year
Individual pay is determined by factors such as program of study, year of study, job-related skills, and relevant experience.
