About the Role
We are looking for a Colour Designer to join our team at ARC’TERYX. This role involves designing and developing seasonal strategies within product collections with recognized colour excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design and develop seasonal colour strategies for product collections
- →Execute the colour creation process in line with Arc’teryx brand standards
- →Manage and support seasonal colour direction for assigned portfolios
- →Create, propose and present palettes, article assortments, and merchandising concepts
- →Research regional colour trends and competitive landscapes
- →Collaborate with multiple departments to direct the creative process
- →Manage extensive raw material matrix to achieve on-time delivery
- →Quantify raw material usage based on MOQ, yield, placements, and forecasts
- →Work with Senior Color Designers and Merchandising team on cross-merchandising strategies
- →Manage the colour lifecycle of finished goods by model
- →Compile project scope, activities, and expenditures for funding programs
Requirements
- ✓Apparel Design Diploma or equivalent experience
- ✓4+ years’ experience in a colour and fashion environment
- ✓Excellent colour acuity and extensive knowledge of colour theory
- ✓Basic knowledge of materials
- ✓Understanding of changing colour trends
- ✓Ability to merchandise collections
- ✓Awareness of Arc’teryx products and their applications
- ✓Intermediate to advanced ability in Adobe Illustrator
- ✓Understanding of retail buying and line development process
- ✓Knowledge of manufacturing timelines and MOQs
- ✓Ability to adhere to critical path and established deadlines
- ✓Effective time management and organizational skills
- ✓Strong attention to detail
- ✓Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- ✓Proactive in identifying issues and developing solutions
- ✓Highly flexible and adaptable
- ✓Ability to balance autonomy and collaboration
- ✓Passion for outdoor activities and living the Arc’teryx lifestyle
