About the Role

Arista is seeking a Software Engineer to join the OpenConfig team responsible for building a dynamic, programmable data center infrastructure using software-defined networking principles.

Key Responsibilities

• →Architect and develop a new networking operating system based on state orientation, open standards, and single software image consistency
• →Implement state orientation for publish-subscribe communication using a multi-process state-sharing architecture
• →Maintain full access to the Linux shell and utilities while building EOS on top of an unmodified Linux kernel
• →Ensure a single software image runs across all products including physical platforms, virtual machines, and containers
• →Improve network testing and reliability while reducing complexity and operational costs
• →Enhance automation workflows by allowing DevOps tools like Ansible and Terraform to work across all Arista devices
