About the Role
The Platform software team at Arista Networks is seeking a skilled software engineer to join their team building diagnostic software for high-speed digital designs. This role involves working on hardware validation and manufacturing diagnostic software for data center products.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design, implement and test production-grade diagnostics for high-speed digital boards and ASICs
- →Design, implement and test manufacturing tests for digital boards used in data center networking products
- →Bring up newly manufactured boards and port the first level of software
- →Isolate and perform root-cause analysis of reported failures
- →Support new platform software and hardware features
- →Coordinate with the hardware engineering team on bring-up schedules and feature delivery
- →Participate in design discussions, design/code reviews, and project management
- →Create system software written in C and scripting languages for the Linux-based appliance platform
- →Work independently as well as in team roles
- →Use a version control system to document and version diagnostic software
Requirements
- ✓Strong and broad software engineering background
- ✓Good understanding of hardware board design technology
- ✓Experience with third-party network processors
- ✓Experience with ASIC-based networking solutions
- ✓Proficiency in C, Python, and Bash scripting languages
- ✓Experience with Linux-based appliance platforms
- ✓Knowledge of version control systems
- ✓Ability to work independently and in team settings
- ✓Experience with hardware validation and manufacturing tests
