About the Role
We are looking for a Business/Data Analyst to join our Finance team at Aspora, a borderless financial operating system. This role will play a critical part in driving data-driven decision-making across financial operations, working at the intersection of finance, data, and technology.
Key Responsibilities
- →Analyse complex financial data sets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvement
- →Design, develop, and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and metrics using SQL and business intelligence tools
- →Partner with Finance Operations, Accounting, and FP&A teams to support month-end close, forecasting, and planning processes
- →Build and optimise data pipelines to automate financial reporting and reduce manual workflows
- →Perform deep-dive analyses on key financial metrics including revenue, costs, margins, and cash flow
- →Support financial modelling, Treasury business and scenario analysis to inform strategic business decisions
- →Translate complex data findings into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- →Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and data accuracy across finance functions
- →Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, and Operations to ensure data integrity
Requirements
- ✓2-3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role, preferably in Finance or Finance Operations
- ✓Self-starter & high-agency mindset with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and in-depth execution
- ✓Strong proficiency in SQL with demonstrated ability to write complex queries, optimise performance, and work with large datasets
- ✓Solid understanding of financial concepts including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and financial reporting
- ✓Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets
- ✓Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- ✓Excellent communication skills with ability to present data insights to diverse audiences
